Armoured  Vehicles in Afghanistan – Study of Casualties – Aug 06/Feb 2008 Hard Numbers  – CF Afghanistan Casualties vs Vehicle Type ( Canadian  Vehicular  Casualties  Listed  Chronologically ) Stephen Priestley,  Researcher,  Canadian American Strategic Review The following is a listing – in reverse chrono- logical order –  of  Canadian Forces vehicular casualties in southern Afghanistan  from Oct. 2005 to the present. (The same list is available arranged  by vehicle type.)  These lists cover CF fatalities (named) and  woundings/injuries (unnamed, details often remain unpublished ). Notice: this page will not be updated. DND now rarely releases the vehicle type(s) involved in attacks.  The intended purpose of  this excessive secrecy is unknown. Certainly local  Taliban observers will have an idea of  the vehicle types involved. Canadian citizens, on the other hand, will not. Hardly a hearts-and-minds success.
